Question 1

What is CaseIndex?

Accepted Answer

CaseIndex is an AI legal workspace for Indian lawyers and law firms. It brings legal research over Supreme Court and High Court judgments and Indian bare acts, AI-assisted drafting, a private document vault and court case tracking into one product.

Question 2

Who is CaseIndex built for?

Accepted Answer

Advocates, litigation and corporate law firms, in-house legal teams and legal researchers who work with Indian law and want faster research and drafting without switching between tools.

Question 3

Which courts and laws does CaseIndex cover?

Accepted Answer

The database covers judgments of the Supreme Court of India and the High Courts, and Indian bare acts organised section by section. Case Management tracks cases filed in the Supreme Court and the High Courts.

Question 4

How does CaseIndex avoid made-up citations?

Accepted Answer

Answers are grounded in judgments and statutes retrieved from the CaseIndex database rather than generated from memory. In the Vault, case citations in an answer are checked against the judgment database and flagged when they cannot be found.

Question 5

Can I ask questions about my own case files?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload pleadings, orders and evidence to a Vault matter, or import them from Google Drive. Files up to 200 MB are OCR-indexed, including scanned PDFs, and you can then ask questions and get answers that cite the passages they came from.

Question 6

Is my client data private?

Accepted Answer

Vault matters are private to your organisation and visible only to the people you share them with. Your data is stored encrypted and is never used to train AI models.

Question 7

Does CaseIndex work with Google Drive and Google Docs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can sign in with Google, import documents from Google Drive into the Vault, and save drafts and research answers directly to Google Docs.

Question 8

How is CaseIndex different from a traditional legal database?

Accepted Answer

Traditional databases match keywords. CaseIndex also searches by meaning, answers questions in plain language with citations, and connects research to drafting, your own case files and live case tracking in the same workspace.

Question 9

How much does CaseIndex cost?

Accepted Answer

Plans for individual lawyers start at ₹2,990 a month (Associate), with Advocate at ₹7,990, Counsel at ₹10,000 and Senior Counsel at ₹19,990. Law firms choose Chambers (₹19,990 a month, 2 licenses), Practice (₹39,990, 5 licenses) or Firm (₹49,990, 7 licenses), with limits shared across the firm. Prices are before 18% GST, yearly billing gives two months free, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
