Which courts and laws does CaseIndex cover?

The database covers judgments of the Supreme Court of India and the High Courts, and Indian bare acts organised section by section. Case Management tracks cases filed in the Supreme Court and the High Courts.

How does CaseIndex avoid made-up citations?

Answers are grounded in judgments and statutes retrieved from the CaseIndex database rather than generated from memory. In the Vault, case citations in an answer are checked against the judgment database and flagged when they cannot be found.

Can I ask questions about my own case files?

Yes. Upload pleadings, orders and evidence to a Vault matter, or import them from Google Drive. Files up to 200 MB are OCR-indexed, including scanned PDFs, and you can then ask questions and get answers that cite the passages they came from.

Is my client data private?

Vault matters are private to your organisation and visible only to the people you share them with. Your data is stored encrypted and is never used to train AI models.

Does CaseIndex work with Google Drive and Google Docs?

Yes. You can sign in with Google, import documents from Google Drive into the Vault, and save drafts and research answers directly to Google Docs.

How is CaseIndex different from a traditional legal database?

Traditional databases match keywords. CaseIndex also searches by meaning, answers questions in plain language with citations, and connects research to drafting, your own case files and live case tracking in the same workspace.

How much does CaseIndex cost?
